I had the same problem with a new tv , had the sky magic eye running from main room to bedroom so I had to use the coaxial connection. I was full sure there was no way to do it because nothing worked . In the end I found a fix, what you need to do is use auto tuning feature and make sure you are on the correct source, then its gonna work

tried everything all to no avail, I think it may be a UK version with no analogue tuner, will check at shop tomorrow!!

 Why do you think there are different models for Ireland & UK?

I recall on some Panasonic's that you pressed the TV button (TV and AV buttons used to be paired together up near the top of the remote) to alternate between digital and analogue television.

So maybe try hitting TV (the button, not the TV itself :pac:), see if it goes to Analogue mode, then go into the menu.

Dunno if that's the same on A-series or the latest models though.

ok I have found the manual now and it does depend on the initial set up, I am not near TV so cant check but if UK is selected as country then DVB T only may be visible!! And pressing the TV button does cycle between tuners.

At least things are looking up.

If the analog tuner doesnt show up simply return the tv to factory mode which is located in the menus then it will tell you switch the tv off.

When you turn it on again select ireland and scan analog, dvb-t and dvb-t hd support which is in some panasonics...then u press either the tv button or the av button cant remember which from top of my head to switch between the analog and digital tuner...

Thanks all I got it sorted. Under display settings, input labels, you can hide inputs, rename them etc. Analogue was hidden!! Dont ask. Then when analogue is set as normal, you press the tv button, then menu, settings and voila there is the analogue tuner. Once channel is set ie sky another press of tv button takes you back to dvb. In fact the whole set up is easy peasy press tv for sky and press tv again for dvb. I should add that when you are on a dvb channel and press menu, settings, setup you get the DVB tuner.

Panasonic had different models for UK and Ireland for years.

Yeah, they sure did. Even when many other brands had moved on to just having a similar model for UK and Ireland (or even pan-European), you just chose your Country on the initial setup screen, which in turn locked/unlocked certain tuning parameters, etc.
