    Here is the story...

My wife got a position in the research project which was made of A national college and a famous company one year ago,but the starting date was always postponed by lots of the reasons. When we contact the college, we are always told that it will start soon. So my wife didn't look for some jobs, just waiting for it.
In the fact, it didn't start yet.

We are deciding to quit the project due to unlimited waiting.

I think we should get some compensations.

    Should we need a lawyer?

Your wife will need a lawyer if she wants to try for compensation. I do not know if Irish law has any provision for this - only a lawyer can help.
