Hi

I need to buy a wifi extender for my home. As an old cottage with thick stone walls the wifi signal penetration is poor. As I use a 3G modem/router as my broadband access I need to position the router for best 3G signal, which is not optimal for Wifi

There are loads on Amazon, at around £20 (e.g. Netgear EX2700), but I dont know if I am buying a pig in a poke.

Any advice/recommendations?

EDIT - Ideally could do with signal amplification
