Just starting this thread so that BorntobyWilde doesnt spell it wrong :)

Anyhow in keeping an eye on young lads riding at the moment and their invaluable claims being wisely used, I notice that Pat O Donnell is down to ride a horse called Dynamite Dixie on Wednesday evening at Wolverhalmpton for Phil McEntee (5.20).

Up until last year this horse was bred, trained and owned by Jim Bolger. Dynamite Dixie's stand out form is when one length 3rd to Equation of Time at the Curragh in September last year when racing off 78 at 8-11. He had been racing off marks as high as 86 (and won off 75). Equation of Time's last run was at Meydan at the start of this year off a mark of 97 when beaten by Hunters Light.

He is running in a Handicap off 65 at Wolves off 9-4 minus a 7lb claim. From looking at its form it may not like the AW (by Dylan Thomas), but I'd be watching for the money, just in case it likes it all of a sudden at the right price, possibly 25/1.

2 decent fancies for me tomorrow and a wildly speculative 1.

17 00 Catterick. Really fancy Just the Tonic here. C and D who has won of marks of 72 to 62. Runs off 57 tomorrow. Will handle the cut in the ground which doesn't suit a lot of these runners. 5 lb claimer aboard will hopefully help. I think the 16/1 available is huge. 2 pts win.

17 20 Wolves. Star Links C and D winner who has won off of marks of 87 to 72, Runs off 67 tomorrow. On lowest mark since winning here in Feb 2014. Ran well here in April this year when 4th beaten 2l off 80. Has done nothing since but has seriously come down the weights in the 4 runs since. Drawn well in 4 and I think this one will go really close 16/1 looks really good value.

I have also had a 1 pt double.

I have also had a very speculative bet on Mister Green in the 18 20 at Kempton. Have had this in my tracker for ages and never backed it. Seems to have been campaigned brutally as all its best form is over 1m or less and has been running over much further. I am hoping the return to a decent distance of 7f might bring about some improvement and at 50/1 with PP I can resist the chance that it might. 1 pt win.

Winning Hunter (7.20 Kempton) makes a bit of appeal to me at 18/1 with Bet365, his maiden form from last season, particularly when 4th at tomorrows venue, suggests that a mark of 71 is not insurmountable and the yard have come back to form lately with a few running well on seasonal debut.
    1pt Win

I really like the look of Hannon's Ower Flyer in the first at Lingfield, it's on a high enough mark but I think it's workable. Ower Flyer 2.10 Lingfield

I also think that Stoneham has an excelent chance in the 2.50 at Wolverhampton, although the win was on hurdles it's as good as the rest and I think Charlie Bishop will give it a good ride. Stoneham 2.50 Wolverhampton.

Very persuasive post above regarding Dynamite dixy so will have a little EW bet just for the interest.

I dont know where else to post this so here goes, can anyone tell me when betting on a race goes to ''non runner no bet'', and if possible tell me if various bookies have different rules, or if there are different rules for Irish and UK racing?

every race that is not an antepost market is NRNB.
bookies decide when they want to make antepost markets NRNB ie Cheltenham, Grand National's etc

rules are pretty straight forward. if NRNB then money back on selection

40/1 atm. Had small ew on it. Hope it does the trick

Had a minimum bet on Top Cop in the first at Bath, he's undoubtedly in decline these days and is no longer as good as he was but is still very well weighted on best of form from last season such as when second off 72 and he races off 55 today. Had Ryan Style down as the likely winner but he is a non runner now so will have a small interest.

I have been told that Hard Times is fancied to run a big race tonight in the 7.30 at Naas. Its a race that wont take much winning. 6/1 with PP at the minute. Ive done EW at that price.

Mr Bounty is a nice ew price too , no attempt to even try.
Feel sorry for anyone that had money on it.

Okay but how do you know its NRNB? For example there are a few Antepost races this Friday / Saturday coming. Do they automatically become NRNB at 4 days before?

just check the market rules or ask the bookies in question.
id imagine after final decs they would be nrnb

I don't think anyone who gets actual information likes to plaster where it came from on a public forum
