I hope it's ok to post this here. The last few years I've really started to question my sexuality but was too afraid to really think about it. Recently though it's really been on my mind. Someone suggested going to The Outhouse even just for a coffee. I'm tempted to travel to Dublin tomorrow to go there but I'm feeling really anxious about it. Would it be worth biting the bullet even though it's scary? Or is there anywhere/anything else that people would recommend for someone like me?

    Of course its worthwhile

Where do you live? is there a local lgbt group?

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

I remember the first time I screwed up the courage and went to an LGBT group meeting in college. I honestly nearly shat myself, but once you do it once you realise it's not as big a deal as you make it in your head and it gets easier and easier.

Are you male or female op? I only ask because if you're female there's a group called Running Amach that organise themselves via meetup.com and they organise things to do all around the country- the organisers usually meet up with new people first because people know how nerve-wracking it can be.

    Good luck!
