    I do not know Krakow that well but there are quite a lot Irish who settled there. Maybe they could recommend a place where a foreigner won't be ripped off. try getting in touch with someone who lives there:

    Go down to the corner of the square as if you are walking to Wawel. After the Adam Mickiewicz monument look for the Buddha garden (number 6), or go down to Plac Nowy in Kazimierz. Also either side at the top of Florianska up towards the Barbican.

    I never bought any food. I don't think the place up near the Barbican serves food. Find McDonalds and it's about 30 metres past that, round the corner.

    There are bars and cafes all round it. Don't be put off by how somewhere looks outside (this is a general rule in Poland!).
