I see Sky are doing heavy pushing for their Sky Box Sets offer. Would people recommend it?
One thing that is putting me off it is that tv shows only stay up there for a limited time period. So for example, you could be in the middle of Season 3 of The Wire but then all series of the show is taken down from the service?? :(

You can download their box sets to the sky box. So if they remove them you will still have them available in the planner. I start watching prison break again on the box sets, what a show.

A Netflix sub is much better value imo

Waste of money IMO. firstly it was free up to last year, suddenly it's HD packages only. And even then some of the shows aren't available in HD, so that makes zero sense.

Secondly they've put the price up 2 years in a row now I think, so adding this to the lot is very cheeky.

As mentioned above, Netflix is far better value, a far better service with much better content.

Finally, if you check the planner a lot of the shows are repeated from time to time on various sky channels anyway so you can just add a series link and wait for them to record if you're in no rush.

I disagree sky boxed sets are better as Sky has most of the HBO content apart from the tv drama series, 'Rome' which is on netflix because bbc co produced it with HBO
