Saw a new model 141 reg Chrysler 300 at a petrol station in Palmerstown this morning and have to say that it looked the bees knees. I went onto the irish Chrysler website but the car is not listed in the list. Is it not available apart from special order over here?

What makes me think that it is an import is that it had "CD" plates and the passenger from the back seat who was paying for the fuel had an American accent so I'm guessing it might be the US ambassadors car?

I just checked google images and the guy who was paying for the fuel was the US Ambassador to Ireland.

CD stands for Corp Diplomatique so it is as you have seen, a Diplomat's car. It wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't available here anymore as they never sold well with it having to fight off Mercedes/BMW/Audi.

Well it was the latest model that I saw and it looked a lot lot different to the old model so was just looking to see if it was a rare spot. Beautiful looking car though, IMO

Chrysler UK site actually has cars on it :)http://www.chrysler.co.uk/

The Irish site is fairly poor.

The Italian embassy has a current model 300c, in a greyish colour, as these are sold as a Lancia Thema over there. This is due to the Fiat and Chrysler merger.

Ah it's possible I mistook the accent for American....I couldn't here the voice too well as the guy was ahead of me in the queue. After a bit of googling, I can confirm that it definitely was the Italian Ambassador, Giovanni Adorni Braccesi Chiassi. Thanks for the tip, waxon-waxoff
