Accountant for PAYE doctor

My wife is a paye doctor. She hasn't much of a clue about what she can claim for etc Is it worth while getting an accountant to assist or is this something that can be done on your own quite easily with a quick google search?

It's always worth while popping to an Accountant, most firms will offer a free consultation and she can decide from there if she would want to proceed with or without an Accountant.
