    Fuel?

Don't think so because the flight didn't leave Cardiff until midday today.

Crew most likely went out of hours and could not continue after landing, reason fuel, weather?

It was running 90 minutes late and it generally makes a fuel stop in AMS.

The A320 should be able to cover such a route.

Just heard that they had a few deviations to the route due to weather so diverted to Cardiff for fuel and after an hour on the ground the captain announced they had run out of hours to continue.

I was on the AMS to DUB this evening and was told that it made an unscheduled stop to Cardiff, they didn't elaborate on it. Plane left 48 mins late. Although they did say due to the wind direction , that they had to change runways today in Dublin which added to the delay.

Had a look at the routing and it normally travels SE to NW of Germany but was sent W into Czech Republic before entering Eastern Germany until turning West south of Berlin. Easily 30-40 minutes extra flight time.
