Effects Pedal Boards and the Airlines.

Has anybody got any experience with carrying guitar effects on the airlines, Ryanair in particular?

I need to travel back and forth from the UK to Ireland over the next few months and I'd sooner carry my board set-up intact, in a flight-case of course.

Do these get through customs ok? Seems to me that such a set-up, with little boxes interconnected with wires might cause some problems.

    So, any input?
    Thanks.

    Thanks.
Do you carry them in the cabin or as checked in luggage?
