Unlucky or something wrong?

I woke up to a puncture yesterday morning, these things happen so no worries. Went and got a tube from lbs, half way thru pumping it up it popped. Lbs gave me another tube saying the first might've been faulty so anyway this morning it's flat again after not even cycling the bike! I know it sounds like something stuck in tyre but there's not. Just unlucky?

Plus there's a slight buckle in both wheels so I might get new wheels. What sort of money would it be for two 700cc wheels for a giant hybrid approx?

I've got all your luck. Running my hybrid for 6 years, puncture free.

Ironically, it came with the unfortunately-named Maxxis Detonators! Which worked so well puncture-wise that I'm on my fourth set.

Check and see if any spokes poking through the rim tape into the tube?

Whatever piece of glass or metal caused the puncture may still be lodged in the tyre, have you checked the inside of the tyre for it?

Saw thread title and knew what the subject matter would be.

Almost certainly, whatever foreign object that caused the orig puncture is still lodged in the tyre. You might not be able to feel it when you run your finger over the inside depending on the angle that is sitting at, but the tube, once inflated, knows all about it.

You really need to perform a very slow deliberate visual inspection of the inside and outside of the tyre and manipulate the rubber anywhere you see a knick or hole.

This could be the case considering both are buckled.

You might be able to get them straightened rather than buying a new set.

Maybe teaching to suck eggs, but note where the puncture is in the tube in relation to the valve and double/triple check the appropriate area of tyre, make sure you don't accidentally flip the tube 180 degrees as you'll be looking in the wrong area of tyre
