    Hi all,

I am new to investing, I have a lump sum I would like to invest it in passive funds

I have read "A Random Walk Down Wall Street", which gives a plan to advise in ETF and index funds.
The book suggests diversifying the portfolio between:
    • Real estate equities : Vanguard or Fidelity Spartan REIT index funds
    • Local market Stocks
    • Developed International market stocks
    • Emerging market stocks
    • Bonds and Bond institutes
    • Cash

It is pretty convincing if you are playing the long term game with low fees.

Does anyone know the process from an Irish citizen perspective?
I guess I first need to create an account with an online broker? I heard that Degiro has very low fees https://www.degiro.ie/
Does anyone have any 1-2-3 step idea of how to go about implementing this?

    Thanks
