Apologies if this is the wrong forum.
The silver socket at the back of my tv is broken due to cables being forced :(
Is there anywhere in South dublin that would fix it? Also how much would it be?
    Thanks a million.

Cambell tv repairs on lower Kimmage rd around the corner from Superquinn Sundrive rd not sure what the cost would be.

Anyway around the problem by using an alternative input to the TV?

I had a similar problem years ago and I think I resolved it by using a scart cable as the input running from my VHS player.

A Saorview box and scart cable.

I rang campell on Saturday but no joy, so I will call into him tomorrow.
I don't have a tv aerial. The channels I get are the 17 from ntl.
Is there such an adapter that it could connect the cable to hdmi? As hdmi port is perfect?
The only other option (apart from fixing the port) is pay ntl for multi room box €11 per month?

No the only option to get the 17 channels are through the coax socket as this signal is an analogue one.

Not the only option. The earlier mentioned solution using a VCR should work.

I brought tv down to Campbell's today so hopefully it won't be too expensive to fix ;)
