Help/advice with Aerlingus flights??

    Hi everyone,
    Hope I'm posting this in the correct place. I could really use some help. I've two return tickets to New York but unfortunately can't go on the trip as I got some bad news and have repeat exams in a few weeks.

    The tickets are with Aerlingus and sadly aren't flexi so my options are to change flight dates or do avail of the amazing 50 euro return on flights that have cost almost 2000euro. :(

    I'm not keen to change the dates of the flights as it will cost 200 euro each and I have no specific dates that I can actually say I will be able to go to New York.

    I have put the tickets up for sale on Adverts.ie but does anybody know if Aerlingus allow you to change U.S flights to European? Or if it's possible to upgrade tickets to flexi even? :confused:

    Nope, my mom tried to do this the other way round (Europe flights to U.S. flights) and they said they can't because on they're on different systems or something. And this was on a flexi ticket (cost €500+).


    She's furious tbh.
