Update: the UCU has recently purchased six DGT boards and will be using them to transmit the top games from each section live over the internet at http://ulsterchess.net/.

That was the first question that popped in to my head when I saw the tournament advertisement. How much does it cost to register with the UCU?

Who do we send the entry fee to? Is there a way to enter online?

Last year I wanted to enter this tournament and emailed my intention to the organiser over there, a guy called Ross Harris e-mailed me back , stating, you need to be born in northern ireland or be living there for the past 12 months before you could enter. So first, check with organiser to see if you qualify to enter & how to enter, If Not qualified, then Yreval advertising it here an telling icu members to pay £ 15 and join UCC , would make it a simple case of, The left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing.

A good write-up is available here.
