Hi I'm in the market for a rangefinder and looking for a recommendation of any cheaper alternatives to Bushnell,Nikon etc.Have been advised to get the tour v3 by a mate but have seen adverts for an ace brand at nearly half the price. How do these compare?Has anyone bought one or know someone that has & can recommend?thanks

i use the ace rangefinder with the pin seeker tech in it and i find it very good, always accurate.. its the first one i have owned so i couldn't say how it measures up to the Bushnell,Nikon brands .. good luck.

Would you not consider a GPS unit?

Cheaper, just as accurate, doesn't promote awfully slow play.

Sorry if that seems like a mini rant but range scopes are a real pet peeve

People whining about slow play with sweeping generalisations are my real pet peeve. Golf would be better off without these people.

I switched from GPS on phone to a range finder and I find if anything it has speeded up my play. Also distance to pin on a large green makes it a whole lot more useful than gps
