Hello! I am having a bit of an issue. Basically I am a single adult (21yold) working in a factory, still living with my parents. My tax credit seems to be twice as low as my other single adults with no kids co-workers. They get ~63 euro tax credit per week and I only get 31 euro. I am including my payslip here with erased personal details. just pure values.

When I calculate it, the tax credit seems to be correct (at around 1650e) but I don't understand how I'm getting paid alot less than my other coworkers who started moreless at the same time as me and are around 20-25 years old. I asked them and they don't know why. I couldn't find any information online.

This is my first job. Please help :/

As a normal single paye worker your standard tax credits should be 1650 +1650. It sounds like you are either missing a full credit for some reason or more likely are on the emergency tax basis. Did you complete a form 12a and receive a certificate of tax credits from Revenue?

As an aside here's a link or two regarding the PAYE system.

Your tax code is N so you have normal cumulative tax credits.
login in to paye anytime at www.revenue.ie and have a look at your 2015 tax credit cert and this will tell you why you only have tax credit of 31.74e weekly

Ok, So I registered on PAYE Anytime on revenue.ie. So once I get mt PIN and get onto main dashboard I should see my details, yes?

And yes I am on Normal tax, so I don't understand why I'm getting such tax credit. Anyway just to clarify: I should be getting higher tax credit yes? All this stuff is confusing to me and I need this to be sorted. Thank You for quick replies and I'll update this thread once I get the PIN.

It's likely that the PAYE credit just hasn't been applied to you, or else that your tax credits have been reduced for some reason.

Ring Revenue (you need PPS No) and speak to an agent, ask what credits you have.
If you aren't getting both single and paye ask why and can it be updated.

You'll need to ring them anyway to sort it if you see on PAYE ANYTIME thar you are missing a credit. You can get it sorted on the phone straight away Monday morning and a new cert sent out and sent to your employer immediately so it will be updated for the next payroll.

Ask for a copy of your tax credit certificate to be posted to you.
