I'm looking for feedback on this car. I have a budget of about 13000 so should be at least be able to get the 2012 model. It will be used for a 25km round trip work commute 3 days a week and will be used at the weekend for a spin to the folks house which includes motorway driving. A round trip of 35km. Mostly looking for reliability, good resale value and cheap to run I.e low tax and insurance hence the reason I am looking to get a 1.25 litre car. Also good lucks would be a factor I.e I think they're is a tdi or sportier model. Any feedback or advice on other cars to consider would be appreciated.

    You'll get 2014 and possibly 2015 fiestas for €13k.

Tdi is a Volkswagen diesel engine and wouldn't have anything to do with sportiness.

I'd aim for the 1.25 petrol if possible as its a sweet engine. There is a 1.0 3 cylinder option too.

You can get specs like zetec and titanium that have extras on them.
Colour is important on these, a good colour will enhance the looks of the car. There are some lovely colour options on the fiesta.

    i have a 2011 fiesta 1.25 82bhp model.
Great little car to drive! if your upgrading from a lower age car as i did, the breaks do take time to get used to as they are very very sensitive compared to the 2006 fiesta i used to had!! iv heard of people driving 3 fiestas. all the same model and having different reaction to the breaks! so take a test drive first just to be sure you like it :-)

p.s not sure what year they start in but the 1.0 econetic are supposed to be an absolute miser on fuel!!!!
my model on the motor way would reach max of 55-59 mpg :-)

From looking at video reviews and reading the net it seems that very few of these small turbo petrol engines that manufacturers are turning to get anywhere near the claimed mpg. They are also likely to be more complex and use special oils. So maintenance and potential issues may be greater?

I'd imagine the 1.25 which is tried and tested at this stage may be a wiser choice?

Bump: imported a 2017 fiesta but it has no spare wheel!

Thinking of buying a space saver wheel (brace jack etc)

Any advice? And where to get tyre?

I reckon if you get a puncture a) you destroy the tyre with the grunge they supply so you have to buy a new tyre b) then you have to buy a new repair kit anyway.
