Can someone tell me if the a contribution towards a an occupational pension scheme as part of redundancy is taxable as a termination payment under s123?

Is the employer making the contribution to the scheme?

If you are applying for an increased exemption or are eligible to the SCSB, it might have an effect on the amount of relief due. It's likely that the contribution would only be taxable when you are actually getting paid the pension
