Hi, I don't know how to adjust pipes etc in hot press so that the central heating heats the water but not radiators. Have a student in house and need put central heating on timer while out at work so immersion switch is a non runner. Need instruction to do so please as complete ignorant. Thanks in advance

Seeing as we don't know what way your hot press is configured (there may be even a zone for this), just turn off all your radiators. The boiler will then only heat the cylinder. That is assuming the the cylinder was heating when the rads were on.

Yes that's correct. Is turning off all rads pretty much same principle ??

    Yes, but more time consuming.
