    hey people

I'm posting this because I'm feeling really low at the moment and would appreciate any advice

basically like it says in the title my life is a complete mess right now...like every day I feel awful...
i don't have a job,I drink alot, mostly in the evenings, I smoke alot...i gamble a ton, which has become a major problem..i used to enjoy an occasional bet when I was younger but now it's like all I ever do and the winning and losing is irrelevant...all that combined it's becoming really detrimental to my mental and physical health not to mention my self confidence and esteem...i don't think I'm a bad person just naive I guess...how can I sort myself out?

Ok so today is the lowest point you're going to hit. From now on it's onwards and upwards......easier said than done ......but only you can change that>i take it the you want to stop or reduce significantly gambling, smoking and drinking.
Firstly, there is help out there.AA and gamblers anon are options and a visit to your GP for your smoking habit will help.Start with small changes, cold turkey might be too severe.
Get plenty of sleep,a little exercise and fresh air and some good healthy food inside you.Spend your money on these and you won't have it to gamble with, smoke or drink.Ask a friend or relative for support and give yourself a pep talk! When you are in better form get involved in voluntary work and you might make a new contact that might find you a job, your mates in the bookies or pub won't help you do that.
Good luck!It won't be easy but if you set yourself a goal it will be all worth it.

You need to talk to someone- perhaps Samaratans?

Drink and drugs are going to mess with your mind. Maybe try clean living for a while and get out in the clean air.

Maybe try to tackle one thing at at time? Whether its the drink, smoking or gambling, just pick one that you feel ready to tackle, plan how you are going to quit the habit, what triggers you might have that you need to avoid, what distractions might help you break the habit.

At the same time, focus on things that are of benefit to you, maybe learning a skill, a hobby or doing a course that keeps you busy, and gets your brain ticking over again and gets you out meeting potential new friends.

Its easy to get stuck in a rut but you can change it.
