Great really. No complaints here. Beef prices are v good, long may they last! Cattle are doing a thrive and have fodder sorted for the winter while getting grazing ground back under control. Life is good! :) Fingers crossed for a long summer yet!

    no complaints

very busy but easy enough spring , got good money for the store cattle, cull cows & got the majority of the lambs away before the slump.

milk wise , good yields , average solids, expenses down , price ?? .. time will tell

grass getting tight due to moisture deficiency but no panic

    all family members doing ok

my last visit to my gp confirmed that I was still alive ,

    yep life is good :):)

+ 1 on grass. Never really got going here either.
Happy enough with the year so far. Got good prices for yearling + bulls and sold the majority of them.
Our other little start up business has developed nicely and if it keeps progressing we will consider reducing stock numbers to concentrate on it, time will tell :)

Things are good. The little miname has realigned priorities, work is flying and all the cattle are thriving. I've spent a ball on the farm in the last while but it's starting to show.

Can't believe we are half way through the year already!
Things going well here too, just back from a few days in kerry and feeling full of energy after the rest,
Kids and rest of family in good form
Cows milking well, getting ready to start a calf shed for next winter.
Milk price will hopefully improve sooner rather than later.

I'd say that would qualify as a vintage 6 mths. Well done on all counts, twins in this house also 6 yo now.

With ours the boy looks out for his sis but she doesn't give a shyte most of the time. She even spoke for him for 1 full year. He'd talk baby to her and them shed translate to us, it was really incredible to watch.

Back on topic! Great grazing conditions, better herd health/yield, quotas going albeit value off the balance sheet and repaying superlevy bill

Good so far ! The mother got the all clear from cancer. I passed all the 2nd year ag exams. The lambs are thriving and will start selling a few next week. Bought an extra 10 calves this year and reseeded 20ac as well. Took the plunge and bought a new tractor which im glad is working out as we're working 6 days a week at different jobs. With the good weather all we're at is baling and Tedding. Myself and the father are thinking of going into a partnership later down the line. So far so good anyway

    Great so far.
    New milk tank
on the look out for a s/h 12 to 18 unit atm if anyone knows of one
sold 40 more kgsms /cow so far over same period last yr with 410 kgs meal fed since jan 1St and 285kgs meal from feb to date -pity about milk price.
We had what silage we needed for the yr got by 10th of june never had it so early before. Everything from now on is surplus
breeding has gone very well. All ill have to worry about is how ill keep all these cows fed - looking like I'll be milking by 2nd wk in feb what were milking atm
    got more ground reseeded

All in all a good yr so far. Grass growth hasn't been as good the last month as I would have liked but we're doing fine

Work has been absolutely mental since xmas but am reaping the rewards of the strong sterling at the moment. Getting few nice bits done around the place and squirrelling away a bit too.

The day job was slow for the first few months but has really picked up in the last 3 months and is powering on. Really enjoying it now. Love when it's busy. Had a second kid on Patrick day. All good.
The farming side has been very good with good grass, goods prices in the Factory, good silage etc.
Other things went absolutely to sh1t in the last few weeks that seem to overshadowed all the good atm
