I dropped my iPhone 5C in the toilet on monday night, I put it straight in rice and left it there until wednesday. The phone didnt turn itself off and I didnt turn it off either (which was probably a mistake) but straight after pulling it out notifications were still coming through, I checked the damage at this stage and the screen was streaky but still worked, it was telling me there were headphones in whenever I adjusted the volume and the back camera was fuzzy (front was fine though). I then turned the phone onto flight mode and turned the brightness down and left it. I put the rice in the hotpress and left it until wednesday morning when I checked it again. At this stage the screen was 100% back to normal, it was no longer telling me I had headphones in and everything seemed perfectly normal apart from some condensation in the back camera. The phone then died and I decided that because of the condensation it was better not to risk plugging it in and instead I took it to a repairs shop that specialises in water damage. I didnt tell them that the phone had been working fine, simply left it in for diagnostics and they came back to me with a quote of €165. I feel like theyre trying to rip me off but I'm not an expert in phones so I wouldnt know.
Should I give them the go ahead to repair it, should I take it to another shop or should I just try plugging it in?

There's a strong chance it's ok. I had this happen to my wife's phone last year. It's working fine now. Charge it up. If it doesn't boot up then have it repairs but shop around.
