I'm 27 and just recently started driving even though I've had my provisional for 5 years. I'm looking to get insured on my partners car as a named driver. He was quoted 460 for 6 months 2 weeks ago, I had a think about and called back to get the insurance but was told it had gone up to 630, I said no and left it. He called back today and it had gone down to 560!

He was advised it changes every day, is this normal for it to vary so much.

I was insured on my mothers car as a named driver for 80 euro for 6 months so compared to that it's quite expensive.

I have my provisional coming up to a year. He has 7 penalty points a 1.9 caddy for the 2 of us it was 800 for both of us (400 each) I think he's with alliance but I'm not sure. My friend got me as a named driver on her car 1.4 for an extra 50 euro for the year with AXA!
