Hi I've just bought a .com domain and want to pick similar url for business Facebook page. However somebody is already using it on a now inactive Facebook page. The page was only in existance for 3 months and has not been in use since April 2014. Their .co.uk domain has expired. How can I go about reporting an inactive page to Facebook as I would like to take over the Facebook URL?

Doubt you will be able to get the account if it was active just over a year ago. Better to just use a different Facebook URL you'll be waiting ages to hear back from them. Use their contact form or maybe try disabled@facebook.com its meant for people who have had their accounts disabled but its meant to be one that gets a response. If you can show the business is no longer trading you might have more luck but I can't see them doing anything if the business is still running. I guess maybe if you promise to buy some advertising that might help that's normally the only thing they respond to.

Thanks Jimmii I've just bought the domain so I best do something with my own website first to show we are an active trading business whereas their domain has expired (as well as inactive Facebook page) Thanks for your help
