Study Advice: Linguistics or Languages?

    Hi everyone!

I am looking into pursuing a career with either linguistics or languages and I am wondering if anyone here could give me advice on which would be best to study in third level education (UCD, NUIG, etc.) and what career options are available after graduating.

I am immensely interested in both the scientific side of languages (perhaps considering a career in psycholinguistics) and also being able to speak many languages (already bilingual).

I'd be very keen to hear from anybody who has already studied either of these and what advice you may have for me.

    Thank you!
