A ban and fine. Do you have a full licence or permit? Could be a long time before you can legally get on the road.

You won't go to prison. Banned off the road and pay a fine.

    Stupid mistake indeed.

It will also make it almost impossible for you to get back on the road so I would start saving now if you have any plans of driving in the future.

Is it a full licence or a learner's permit that you have?

Throw in a violin story to the judge of only ever done this the once and that you were on your way to visit a sick relative, this seems to work for sereal insurance evaders. Let the rest of us pay your way in life, we are fine with that.

    Speak to a solicitor.
