When I went on BTWEA it took about a month but the delay was because in my area they have 1 monthly meeting to discuss the applicants and make decisions and I had applied a day or 2 after the previous months meeting. After they had the meeting and I was approved it was very swift.

In my case about 2 weeks, got forms, filled them out including business plan, sent them back, got an interview for a week later, told that week it had been approved, very fast!

Social welfare only need to approve it if there is no enterprise or integrated development officer in the area.
