    Hi everyone,

We built a small shed of 10x10ft last year and it has pored concrete floor, at time we didn't do any ting but this summer we are thinking to put self levelling compound and then put floor paint . So the question is this a correct process and will last long?.

I have already bought two bags of flex floor levelling compound and floor is ready brushed with pva .

Check that the levelling compound is suitable for use as a finished floor, most of the others are intended to be covered with flooring so might not be durable if you're going to be using the shed as a workshop.

The one we bought says used before final flooring. but we wont have enough traffic in there.

    That's grand so.
Just make sure to check and plug any gaps which would allow the compound to leak away. (You might need to tack a bit of timber at the doorsill). Start in the far corner and work towards the door.
I'm curious as to why you want to level the floor of a smallish shed, is the existing concrete floor particularly rough or uneven?

I am also interested in painting a shed floor. Would it not be better to paint onto the concrete (which by its nature would be rough(ish)) as a painted smooth levelled floor could be slippy? Just a question.........

Normally self levelling compounds are for use under lino, carpet etc. Some though can be used for traffic. The critical thing here is that he doesn't apply it any less than 5mm. You are quite right to question the slip potential, but really the vast majority of self levellers should never get wet, because they can soften when exposed to water. There are one or two exceptions, DCP's Cemflow Exterior being one I know of.
Painting the concrete with a good epoxy in a shed is really the right thing to do.

Yes, google "Resuseal WB". A lovely water based epoxy paint. I've used it and it is easy to apply.
