I have a stone wall in living room which I want to illuminate using wall wash lights.
Has anyone any experience of doing this? Is it better to put in ground before I put wooden floor down, or just use ceiling?

I find uplight more effective than downlight for brickwork. It makes more interesting shadows imho.

I'd set some nice LED battons under the floor level at the foot of the wall, shooting through a transparent access hatch and throwing light on the wall. I'd look to central dimmable ceiling lights too to actually provide some space lighting the underfloor stuff is just for ambiance.

    €0.02.
