    Hi all,
Looking at a used 5 series F10, 2010, and mileage between 60-80k miles.
Are there any service expenses i should expect or look out for, e.g. timing chain within or after those mileages.

    Cheers

    Gerry

BMW uses Condition Based Servicing so it will depend on what the service history of the car is like. The car onboard computer (idrive) will tell the service status and when standard serviceable items are due. Have you checked the car's service history?

Timing chain has no set interval, it can stretch on cars with low mileage as well as those with high mileage. Frequent oil services are paramount on these engines, BMW's 30k km intervals are too long imo.

Cheers for that. Have not focused on any yet. Just need to get some background info before the hunt.
