Wiimote - 2800 mAh rechargeable batteries - how long should they last?

I got a new set of 2800 mAh rechargeable batteries for my Wiimote.

Sound and rumble are turned on and I get about 4 hours max playtime before the batteries have to be recharged.

    Is that normal?

I'm more used to my Xbox controller that seems to last days (although I imagine it's 15 hours, but I never play that long in one sitting!)

Anyone here have a Wiimote with rechargeable batteries? How long does the charge last?

I mean the rechargeable packs as opposed to a set of Duracell rechargeables. Just getting an idea of the typical strength.

    Definitely doesnt sound normal.

Did you by any chance buy cheap batteries from China?

They capacity is grossly overstated on these.

You could look up battery tests to see the true capacities of brands and go for the good ones.

Ive been using these 7dayshop batteries for years and I find them fantastic.

They do discounts regularly on their main website so its worth a look. As you can see from the 3rd review, their actual capacity is about 300mah less than 2900, but thats still pretty high.

How many hours would you typically expect to get?

Im not sure exactly as I mainly use the gamecube controller.

But one of my nephews was using it for a few hours, and it had quite a lot of use before that.

    Maybe someone else can answer.
