I'm looking into an outdoor humanist ceremony. I would love the vale of Clara but the parking situation would be a nightmare. And that teeny bridge could hardly fit a coach over if I was to hire one. Anyone got any interesting suggestions?
    We would try anywhere really.

Me and the OH are actually quite into historical sites and the likes. Not a bad idea I'll have to look into it :)

Uh it would be nice then... You could go Abbey or even somewhere where there is a portal dolmen or something like that..There is a book I have at home with a list of things like standing stones, dolmens, all ancient sites as such if you want me to take a look and see if there is anything...

    Sacred Ireland that's the one

I think you can get married at most, if not all, of the Heritage sites in Ireland now: http://www.heritageireland.ie/

Some of those places would be incredible!

you'd be taking a big risk to try it at the skelligs. Some summers the boats barely get out there at all :D

I'll try source the book myself thanks for the name.

A lot of the ones I like seem a bit inaccessible or pricey to organise. There's a portal tomb in the Midlands but its at the top of quite a big hill and family members need to make it up. I'm kinda in love with the idea of dalkey island too.

OH wow would be fab but have older family and quite a lot of kids. Suppose me and the OH could leg it there on our own with witnesses if its what we really wanted. XD

It's hard to chose tbh. I could probably organise it. Did the Dublinia course that's where I met OH. Dalkey island would be cool with the Viking connection.
It's something personal to us that will make it special. Although any heritage site could be fab.

Just ensure you have a viable indoor alternative close at hand. We had our outdoor ceremony planned for last august and we got rained out.

sssshhhh don't mention rain and August!! Hush hush.. It is a thinker, we have plans for an outdoor one but as such we are planning too just incase the weather isn't great. So indoors first and then outdoors..

You could always get a marquee or something maybe pending how many are going you could pick one up in homestore

Just coming into the model forecast time frame now for our day. I am checking it a lot. We are hoping to have ceremony outdoors as well. 50/50 chance Id say.
