    Nice find.

Odd though, how 1 year is €143, yet 2 years is €466...

Would this card work with Vu+ cardslot? I remember having nC+ years ago (when it was just Cyfra+) working fine on the slot in a Technomate, but never tried on Vu+.

I never had a problem with a Cyfra+ card and the cardslot on the Vu+ Duo

What football would you normally get on this package?

Yeah, was thinking the same myself - wonder if it's a mistake at their end.

I've had this card for the last 4-5 years and never had any trouble with any of my Vu+ boxes.

You get Premier League, La Liga and Bundesliga. They tend to show the games involving the top 3. No English commentary though.

There is a drop down to select the package. €71 is for 5 months.

Just to update; I called Satsklep and they said this is a valid offer. They are doing a special for the off season but they confirmed the price is correct and that the Prem league will still be shown for the upcoming season. He also said the price will go back up as the new season approaches.

Just to note, there are loads of offers with nc+ currently as they are 20 years old this year.

I see on the Canal+ forums - from what I can make out - that the Seria A has been moved to another channel next season. This channel costs extra and isn't part of the NC+ package. Hope they don't do the same with the PL next season too.

Perhaps its gone to a rival package, I.E Polsat

Serie A will be on something called Eleven Sports Network.

They will be launching two new channels on all platforms in August

Do you know if this is mid-contract, so to speak? The website uses: "has also taken the rights" - which looks ominous.
If NC+ lost the tender and their last season was last year then, fair enough. I just hope is wasn't mid contract; then there could be potential for the Premier League games to be shown elsewhere too as I think Canal have one year left on their contract to show the games.

NC+ and Orange Sport had the contract for Serie A until the end of the season just gone. The contract ended and somebody else put in a higher bid for the new contract. Nothing was handed over. I see no reason why the Premier League games would be shown elsewhere. NC+ are still the rights holders.

is this card plug and play? as in just put it in your card slot and away you go?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,894 ✭✭✭lertsnim

Assuming you have the correct CAM or a receiver that can decode it then pretty much yes. It may take an hour for channels to come through initially.

I have a Vu+solo2 receiver. Would it be plug and play on that?

I'd be surprised if it'd be plug and play. Depending on the image you're using, you may already have a softcam installed. If you do, then it should be straight forward. If you don't, it involves installing a softcam and maybe tweaking a config file. At worst it's a quick Google - 1000s of pages with instructions on how to set it up.

Yeah, I went for the year. Should get 14 months, or thereabouts, by the usual emm trick.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 619 ✭✭✭slicedpanman

    trick? possible to explain?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,477 ✭✭✭azzeretti

Yeah. The card gets entitlement updates into the future, sometimes up to two months. Then, when it is scheduled to expired it gets an update to revoke the entitlements. If you remember the date it is due to expire you can disable global emm updates. This means the softcam won't accept any new updates to disable, or extend, the entitlements. If you get it right you can get 6-8 weeks extra. I do this every year with this card, using CCcam.

Note: Not certain how grey this is. I don't share the card, but technically, it could be seen as bending the agreement a little?

Not a bad price at all for 2 years. Now seems inline with the 12 month pricing.

Premier league rights run out after this year. They might get the renewal but you'd be risking it. Provided your after PL that is.
