MOT advisory - fix or monitor

    My 2000 A4 B5 passed the MOT test today but with a long list of advisories . One point was ' Play in steering rack inner joints'. Can anyone translate ? Should I just monitor it or fix ? Are there replaceable parts or does it mean a new steering rack ?

    Sounds like the ball joint is worn on one or both inner tie rods. Tie rods are easily replaced and parts & fitting won't cost the earth but I'll let someone else suggest prices.
