It's Amazon's free app of the day

It's free from time to time on Amazon but I think it's an out of date version so not much use.

No need for an antivirus on Android, just stick to the known markets Google and Amazon and you'll be fine.

Totally agree,if anything these anti virus apps can be detrimental to the battery and serve no other purpose.

Don't think many people are still using just amazon and play store to download.
It's also the current mobile protection software

If you're looking for a security app there are much better ones like Cerberus that are actually worth paying for. Its good to have a method of remotely wiping your phone in case it gets lost/stolen as it will have all your login details

Maybe run Malwarebytes the odd time if you think there's something funky in the background, you don't even need to keep it running in the background or even installed full-time.

Cerberus appears every so often on Amazon's free app of the day also.
Anyone who uses a phone to download from the web should have an antivirus installed. Don't have it running all the time, but every so often run the app and do a scan, you'll be surprised what you find sometimes

I'm OK, my post was in answer to your previous one. A lot of people fool themselves into thinking that nothing bad will happen because its android.
