Currently hanging out in Orlando til early August and don't know anyone except the guy who broke my heart so am pretty bored especially at weekends.

So anyone on here that is in Orlando want to take a poor lonely chicken under their wing?
Or anyone any non-AH style suggestions on how to meet people?

He lives 2 hours down the coast and works weekends. I have friends down there but have to stay with them if I go there and don't like to impose. Also they were away this weekend.

Guy I am seeing also lives there but can't stay with him as he has kids.

Sure. If you want to go to International Drive or over to the nicer Hotels\resorts\shopping areas. But it's surrounded with crack Dens. The weather is terrible. Half of my family live in Florida. I'd sooner live in Rhode Island than that sh1t state

Didn't go celebrating and thinking of becoming celibate! Mr Puerto Rico has spoken to his boss about the diffulties of marrying a European and getting them moved here.....we've been on 2 dates.

I agree there are some dodgy as fook places but where my house is it's a really nice area and down around Wall Street, particularly at weekends is lovely. Also can't help but feel happy in downtown disney.

That said I can't wait to get down the coast to see my dad and friends tomorrow afternoon. It also has better weather down there.

C'mere if I had much more going on in my life I would need a time machine or Hermione's spell. I work ,study, do charity work, act in plays, raise my son and for the heck of it I run my parents life for them pretty much. Had to get away over here to ease the stress levels a bit but still spent most of today when I got my work done sorting stuff for my parents.

You seem confident, it's the sunny state right? I've never been to USA but I'm sure if you went to a bar or two you would have no problem meeting people. Look at the guys who liked you so much. Enjoy the holiday because before you know it, you'll be under water again. Do now and don't dwell later. :)

Aw am not complaining really, I hate having nothing to do. Am glad when I finish college next month that I will be focused on building the new company I have set up and will have the play in September or would go crazy. Just needed to escape some of the responsibilities for a while before I broke!
