I experienced this for years, not very often as I am trying to omit it for all costs. But sometimes I have to and I am always in genuine shock - I am searching bus routes on Dublin Bus website... And I am always trying to figure out why Dublin Bus website is such a joke?? Who made it? Why this way? For whom it really is?

Why don't you use www.a-b.ie, the National Journey Planner or download the National Journey Planner for smartphones - that's a much easier way of finding out how to get from a to b in Dublin.

Then use the Dublin Bus website to check timetables/RTPI if necessary.

^ You say that as if it's the obvious way such information should be accessed/presented.

Well the National Journey Planner is the obvious way going forward that people should be accessing information about public transport in Ireland.

I actually find the Dublin bus site helpful and easy to use!

So do I. The app may not be perfect but it's easy to use.

I suspect the problem the OP is having is with the journey planner which uses bus stop names rather than general place or road names.

That's one reason to use the NTA journey planner.

My problem is that I am map lover. People invented maps to no more navigate using place names, or asking for direction or bus stop numbers - but by using simple graphic images called maps. My dream is to have bus routes added to google maps - they have already bus stops marked (but again WITHOUT NUMBERS).
Yes - I know, I am old moaner, I should be happy we have any bus service here...

There are full maps for all public transport routes on the NTA National Journey Planner website and also some schematic maps as well.
