    End of an era!

Sandi Toksvig's final ever show went out tonight!

Things will never be the same :(

Film of the making of the show on the website, seemingly. Yup, end of an era.

Really sad to have her leaving. She's always so lovely to listen to over the weekend when I get a chance to listen to the podcast.

I wonder who'll replace her? There's a Scottish woman on the panel a lot who's name escapes me (I think she did fill in hosting a while back?). Could it be her?

    Susan Calman?

Kirsty Young would be good too. She's one of the better Have I Got News For You guest presenters.

She's not very funny though, Toksfig was great at the ad-libs, wonder why she left, one show a week for 10 weeks doesn't seem that difficult even if she's part of a new political party.

Probably would have looked really bad for the public broadcaster to have someone who's part of a political party chairing panel discussions that often talk about politics. I don't think it had anything to do with time commitments.

Miles Jupp announced as host of The News Quiz. Perfect choice - he's really good.

    For anyone unfamiliar with him...

...this video probably isn't the best example of his work.

Coincidentally, Sandi Toksvig also started out in children's television, on No. 73.
