How much are you getting paid?

    Thats the really important part.

    I'm getting 200 a week . That's the tax taken out .. I didn't receive any payslips yet

    200 after tax?

Are they paying you in the hand?
Did they take your pps number or get you to complete a Form 12A?

Did you ask for a payslip

No I'm getting it into my bank account . I'm going to get the payslips emailed soon . I'd say it is after tax ?

To be honest, I would say that is cash in hand. Obviously in your case, the employer is lodging it into your account.

Getting tax back really all depends on how much you earn and what category you fit into. Payslips are usually emailed every week to the employee.

Ask your employer what the story is :)

Just ask for your payslips would be the best way to see
What are you getting paid? Minimum wage? 37.5 hours per week? Look up the minimum wage for under 18, or are you an apprentice.

You will be paying very little payroll deductions.
You'd be Class A0 for PRSI -NONE
You'll have sufficient tax credits for PAYE -NONE
Perhaps a few euro USC per week but you can claim it back.

Really just ask for payslips. For 200 even either they agreed the amount after tax and they gross it up or they are paying you in the hand.
