Does she need a medical report?

My sister just passed her theory test and is going to get her learners permit. She's 21 and has no medical problems. Does she need to get the medical report filled out by our gp? My reading of it is that she doesn't but she doesn't want to go to the appointment in case she needs it.

I got my permit in february, the only 'medical' report I needed was an eye test

She doesn't need a medical report but does need an eyesight report dated no more than 30 days before she submits it to the NDLS

The rule is essentially that if you answer no to all the driver fitness questions (with the exception of the corrective lenses question) then you don't need a medical.

Not relevant in this case (but FYI and the benefit of future searching) if you did have to submit a medical, an eyesight report would not have to be submitted separately where the doctor is willing to answer the eyesight questions which they will do 99% of the time.

Is she has none of the conditions that they list as requiring a medical report she's totally in the clear.

Failing to submit one when required is a very serious matter.

But do not get one if it's not required.
