I need to get a bigger bike to replace an Islabike Beinn 20 large for an 11 year old of 141cm height. He's not cycling much so I'm finding it very hard to justify an Isalbike in a larger size which would cost about €550. So, as an alternative I've found a Ridgeback Dimension 24 in Cyclesuperstore at €350:

    and

Anyone car to offer an opinion on its quality - I do not want a poor quality, heavy, useless lump. This seems to weigh about 9kg.

Well, to answer my own question - bought one on Saturday as it seemed a very decent bike indeed, nice and light and appears to be a high quality bike. Me and my 11 year old took it for a spin on Sunday, 33km later and he was still happy, so I'm very pleased with my purchase. I don't expect it to hold its value as well as an Islabikes alternative but that was going to cost me €565 and the wait time was 3 weeks.

Just curious, have you sold your Beinn? I am looking for one for my son.

    Best regards,

    Daniel

Sold I'm afraid, they don't hang around long.

Thanks for your reply. It was wishful thinking on my part.

    Cheers,
