I bought a few bullocks yesterday put them into a paddock. I went to check on them yesterday evening and One bolted through a ditch and gone.

So I'm on the look out for a 8 month old Charle bullock dark brown North of Drogheda. If anyone come accross him can you please PM me.

I feel your pain on this.
Talk to local farmers, put a call into a few Garda stations too as it will be reported at some stage.

An animal like this will travel a few miles before feeling like it can safely stop running.

    Contact LMFM's Farming Programme.

Also drive around the area and see if he's causing a stir somewhere.

He might be crossing the border.

    Good luck!

Pain in the ba**s but could happen to anyone.

    Happened us before.

Local parish newsletter would be a good one also if not too late for this Sunday.

As Brian says he could turn up at the very end of the parish. Don't worry he'll be with cattle and should be off the road which is the main thing.

At least you've the river not far south of you, it's unlikely he'd cross if he headed that direction! There's only one bridge in that area.

Spent today putting back a heifer in a field, and reputing her back, and reputing her back. Retrieved her three times before we eventually found the spot she got out as she brought a rock with her on the last occasion and 'rock marked the spot'. I split up 14 cattle into 2 lots yesterday and obviously I split her from her special matey and she wants to come home. Have put up electric fence and hope that will stop her. It was way too hot to be chasing after a beast today.
