    Hi,

Slight shower head drip and does not stop, Triton T90Z electric shower not run off mains supply.

Only installed 3 months ago, drip only recently started, was researching and says solenoid valve problem, but this is a new unit so should not be happening, Thanks.

It definitely sounds like the solenoid
Contact triton as it's still in warranty

Could it be that the valve just needs tightening or something?

    No
The only other thing you can try is take off shower head turn water to the lowest setting and temp at cold then run shower for a minute to flush if it then keeps dropping its on to triton

Solenoid valve is not closing properly, most likely.

Put shower onto cold setting, shower head removed. Turn on and run for 10 seconds or so, then off. Try that 4 or 5 times and see if it helps.

If the advice in the posts above works then its not an actual fault with the solenoid. When a solenoid valve or coil fail they must be replaced. The advice above is for flushing tiny particles of dirt that are stopping the valve from closing.

If the solenoid needs replacing Triton will do this free of charge under the 2years warranty

Apologies to any Mods for commenting on an old thread, but switching to cold and running the shower, sorting out my dripping head. TritonT90xr is my shower model and there was a fairly heavy drip coming from the shower head.

Faulty solenoid. Your shower is 10 to 14 years old & is now obsolete.
