can you get the non-adjacent rate for your susi grant if you live with your parents but are further than 45 kilometres away from the college. Or is it that your parents house has to be 45 k away and you're living near college ? ?

If your address on the susi application .ie your parents home is over 45km from college you will get the non adjacent grant.

The distance to the college is where you normally reside.
If you normally reside with your parents, then it is from their house but if you reside elsewhere it would be from that address.
If it is the later of the two, then evidence of normal residence maybe required. This would be common where a student was classed as dependent at their point of entry but no longer reside with their parents.
