Hi guys, I have a 2010 VW Scirocco 2.0 DSL. Intermittent not starting issues since I got it 8 months ago. No faults showing up on diagnostic, even when the car is not starting, no live faults showing on diagnostic. Cleaned out the EGR Valve 6 months ago and it was OK until a couple of weeks ago. When you try starting it, it will just keep turning over, but unless you pop the bonnet and tap the EGR valve and air throttle body a few times it will not start. If it was the EGR Valve - I thought that it would definitely show up as a fault on the diagnostic machine?? Disconnected the wires going to the air throttle body and the car still does not start, so I assume that it is not this. Please help. Thanks.
