    Hi guys,

    I'm after some route recommendations.

I'm looking for a nice flat-ish route to break that magical 200k barrier. Been doing 130-150k spins up and around Wicklow so I figure fitness-wise I should be okay if I just stay away from the hills. Maybe start by going up the coast towards Drogheda, then loop towards inland and back to town?

Any particular roads that I should stick to or avoid? I'm based in D9 so if the route falls short I can do few extra loops to Howth and back :pac:

Dublin to Limerick.. road is like a ghost town once your past the curragh..

Train back gives time to relax, recover and crack the joints

Take a look at the 200km routes available on the Audax Ireland website.

The National 200 is very flat and will take you from Dundrum to Portarlington back to Dublin, The Angel of Mons goes up along the coast on a winding route and comes back via Collon. The Kingsmountain goes to Oldcastle in Co. Meath and comes back via Kells. The Faceless Monk and Dying Light are all good routes.

You can download the GPS routes to a Garmin by following the instructions on the map pages.

The hill up to Collon from Ardee is endless if you're wrecked.

Wishbone Ash went down to Mullingar and back recently, that should be flat.

It is ridiculously flat and chances are you'll get a nice tail wind home. You could turn in mullingar and head down by lough ennel towards kilbeggan then back to Kinnegad and on home.
