Hearing the gaps between dialogue in movies...

I just connected new speakers to the tv, and now the sound is so good that in scenes where there's no background music and characters are just talking, I can hear the discrepancy between the dialogue and the gaps in between.

It's hard to describe but it's something akin to this:

    Character: "Hello"
    *complete silence*...*buzz*
    Character 2: "Hi"

Where I've heard it before is on amateur youtube dubs, where people do the characters voices over animation and stop and start the recording according to how the character talks. So when there's dialogue there's a faint buzzing in the background that is starkly absent in the seconds between characters words/exchanges.

I really hope you'll get what I mean...but I want to know is there some setting I can fiddle with so that I don't hear that anymore.

My speakers are Creative Inspire T3300
