    Hey :)

I've been lucky enough to be offered a place in the MA in History programme starting in September, specializing in Modern Irish History. Just wondering if any past or current students could offer any insight into the course with regard to hours and course content? I've looked at all the info supplied by UCD but would be great to hear it first hand!

    Thanks in advance!

I'd think hard about how any MA will benefit your career, and is there another postgrad course which could be more beneficial for your career and the fees you're paying. Of course, I didn't think like that myself at the time but the years sometimes bring wisdom.

Also, if I were determined to follow my heart with something like history, I'd choose a masters that I could convert to a PhD and have the PhD done in at most 3 years (any more time and I wouldn't touch it). At least there's a bit of distinction with a doctorate. Time is precious. It really is. Best of luck.

Thank you for the advice. However I have made all the necessary considerations and done my research. I'm happy with my decision.
